746AM – Temperatures this morning are nearly 20 degrees colder than yesterday afternoon; readings at most locations near the bay are now hovering around 50 degrees with light rain. The cold front which produced rain overnight has now moved east of the Chesapeake; meanwhile, a weak area of low pressure is moving along the front and is bringing another round of light rain to central Maryland and the Eastern Shore. As the afternoon progresses, rain will become more intermittent as high pressure builds over the region from the north and west. Occasional sunshine is possible as we move into the late afternoon hours. Temperatures today will be seasonably cool with highs in the upper 50s along with a light north wind around ten miles per hour.
